[edit] General information about buildings

Your town starts with almost nothing, but by spending gold and resources and by advancing in research you can construct new buildings and upgrade existing ones. Each building provides you with access to resources, units, or abilities. Click on a building in the town view to read more about what it does and to see how much gold and other resources are required to upgrade it.

Each building is linked to a distinct research technology. Upgrading a building's technology counterpart raises the maximum level to which a building can be upgraded. Certain buildings, like most technologies, only become available when particular research levels and particular building levels have been attained.

Building and upgrading takes time and resources, and the higher the level of building, the longer it takes and more resources it requires. The time remaining to upgrade a building is displayed on the town view when you are upgrading. The time to complete a building is 5 minutes per level. e.g. a level 12 building will take 1 hour. Completed buildings are mentioned in the events panel. You can only build or upgrade a single building at a time unless you have purchased a Premium account.

For those buildings which generate resources you can modify the number of workers producing that resource. The amount of resources produced in each five minute period is shown on the building page. Any workers who are not producing resources are generating tax income.

You can also use the Building Tree

House

[edit] House

Every man's home is his castle. Build houses to increase the population of your kingdom. A larger population gives you more flexibility when building and planning your kingdom, and of course brings in more tax. Each House level allows you 100 additional citizens.
Each upgrade to the Housing Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of House.

Warehouse

[edit] Warehouse

Protect the hard work of your workers by storing their harvest in structures designed to prevent spoilage. Granaries provide a long term storage solution which is helpful during times when the harvest is weak. Each Warehouse level increases the maximum storage for each resource (except gold, which has no upper limit).
Each upgrade to the Storages Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Warehouse.

ClayPit

[edit] Clay Pit

Seemingly useless dirt, once dampened, rolled, and molded clay can be used to make a variety of tools and utensils which help every kingdom grow. Building larger clay pits will allow your kingdom to have more of this resource. Each Clay Pit level allows 25 additional workers in the pit.
Each upgrade to the Pottery Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Clay Pit.

Lumber Mill

[edit] Lumber Mill

A central building used to coordinate and process the efforts of lumberjacks who chop down trees. The wood produced by a lumber mill is used to build homes, tools and weapons. The larger the mill, the more wood which will be produced. Each Lumber Mill level allows 25 additional workers to cut wood.
Each upgrade to the Wood Gathering Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Lumber Mill.

Ore Mine

[edit] Ore Mine

Deep in the earth the valuable ore sits in the walls of caves. Chiseled out, the ore can be refined and used to create strong metals. Build larger ore mines to process more ore. Each Ore Mine level allows 25 additional workers to mine for ore. Note that metal requires ore, so if you are making metal then your ore production will be reduced.
Each upgrade to the Mining Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Ore Mine.

Barracks

[edit] Barracks

No soldier enjoys sleeping on the cold, hard earth. Building barracks provides a comfortable home for soldiers and the larger the barracks the more troops you'll attract. Each Barracks level allows you to train 2 additional soldiers. To do so, go to the Unit Management link in the Navigation bar, then click Train.
Each upgrade to the Training Grounds Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Barracks.

Blacksmith

[edit] Blacksmith

Once ore is dug out of the earth, someone needs to work it into something useful. A Blacksmith will take ore and craft tools, weapons and other objects which will assist the growth of any kingdom. Each Blacksmith level allows 25 additional workers to turn ore into metal, and metal into tools and weapons. Each metal produced consumes 2 ore.
Each upgrade to the Weapon Craft Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Blacksmith.

guild

[edit] Guild

A wretched hive of scum and villainy, but in a controlled environment it can be used to recruit medics and spies to carry out the devious tasks that many leaders don't like to discuss, but which are a necessary part of diplomacy. Each Guild level allows you to build 1 additional spy and 1 additional medic. To do so, go to the Unit Management link in the Navigation bar, then click Train.
Each upgrade to the Advanced Training Grounds Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Guild.

Mage Tower

[edit] Mage Tower

Built on top of the tallest hills, these buildings are home to the most powerful Mages. For reasons unknown to mere mortals, Mages require their towers to be built as tall as possible. As the size increases they reward their Lords by recruiting more Mages and giving them further access to the dark arts. Each Mage Tower level enables the training of 1 additional Mage. To do so, go to the Unit Management link in the Navigation bar, then click Train.
Each upgrade to the Wizardry Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Mage Tower.

Farm

[edit] Farm

Cultivating food for your kingdom is a guaranteed way for you to be successful. Farms produce the grain and other food sources that you need to feed your citizens. Build more farms as your kingdom grows. Each Farm level allows 25 additional workers to harvest food.
Each upgrade to the Farming Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Farm.

Wall

[edit] Wall

From simple wooden fences to powerful stone, walls are built to keep out invaders and wild beasts. The greater amount of resources spent on building your walls the greater the protection for your kingdom. Each Wall level increases your defense by 10%.
Each upgrade to the Fortification Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Wall.

Town Hall

[edit] Town Hall

The center of every kingdom. This is where the populace comes to discuss politics, elect their leaders and to trade goods and services. Build your Town Hall to keep control of the day to day activities of your kingdom. Each Town Hall level enables you to train 1 additional caravan. To do so, go to the Unit Management link in the Navigation bar, then click Train.
Each upgrade to the Town Ordinance Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Town Hall.

Research Center

[edit] Research Center

The brightest minds of your kingdom gather here to discuss and develop new ideas. These new ideas lead to the growth and development of your citizens and their abilities. The larger the center the more thinkers you can have to work on advancing your kingdom. Each Research Center level allows you to build 1 additional catapult. To do so, go to the Unit Management link in the Navigation bar, then click Train. Increased levels of this building also unlock advanced technologies.
Each upgrade to the Advanced Research Architecture Research allows you to build two additional levels of Research Center.
