The Saxons have a long history of being besieged by various barbarians and enemies. To protect their lands in Germania, they built strings of walls and defensive fortifications. All Saxons begin with level 1 Wood Gathering technology, and a level 1 Lumber Mill. All Saxons start in Germania.
Players within Germania can access features limited to players in their country. Under the Diplomacy tab on the left of the screen, players can access the Kingdom of Germania forum, where they can communicate with other Saxons, receive help and tips on game play, and participate in the larger Saxon community. Players may also buy and sell resources within Germania on the Market.
[edit] Government
Germania is a Constitutional Monarchy headed currently by Kaiser Yoshi I, who is the spokesman for all Germania announcing internationally all important decisions reached by Germania's government or the Reichstag. Der Kaiser is also the host of our Embassy.
Executive power in Germania is concentrated in the High Council whose members are four Chancellors, the Foreign Minister and the Interior Minister. The High Council defines Germania National Policy by releasing Executive Orders, effective immediately. The Foreign Minister and three Ambassadors, one to each Foreign Nation, comprise the Diplomatic Corpus and are charged with liaising with officials of Foreign Nations and resolving raiding disputes. The Interior Ministry (the Minister and their Deputies) is responsible for resolving internal disputes and running a variety of National Projects.
Legislative power is bestowed upon the Reichstag, an assembly of all Saxon People, led by the Speaker of the Reichstag. All adopted legislation is published within these pages and is binding Law in Germania.
Last, but not least, the Judges of the Constitutional Court guard the spirit of the Constitution providing interpretations when ambiguities arise.

The current Constitution of Germania was ratified on April 27, 2009. It was subsequently amended during the Third Regular Session of the Reichstag held on May 1-4. The Constitution is a live document, still being amended. Binding interpretations are provided by the Rulings of the Constitutional Court.

On 17-02-2009 Germania ratified its first Constitution with the overwhelming support of 60 Citizens comprising 97% of the popular vote.
Preamble to First Constitution
The Federation of Independent Saxon Nobles has, at long last, resolved to come together for the promotion of the Common Interest.
However, as a proud and free people, we are dedicated to the Principle of Limited Government. The Powers invested in our Parliament, the Reichstag, will have the aim of ensuring the Security and Prosperity of the Nation, without the imposition of a stagnant Bureaucracy or undue interference in Private Affairs.
[edit] Aristocracy
Following the establishment of the Monarchy, many Saxon nobles chose to adopt new aristocratic titles. Those are specified in the signature and, if present, should be used as a form of address. When no title is specified, the title of 'Lord' or 'Lady' shall be used.

- Saxons: The Saxons are experts in construction of walls and in the tactics of defense, granting them a 10% defense bonus.
